Brief
As Intrepid Studios developed their highly anticipated role-playing game and battle arena, Ashes of Creation, they wanted to offer their customers a way to purchase membership-level packaged upgrades and in-game cosmetics. At the same time, they wanted to refresh the website theme to more closely resemble their new branding guidelines. The turnaround time was critical as the start for the project was during the beginning of the critical North America holiday season.
Process
Intrepid Studios sought to merge existing e-commerce solutions systems into a unified interface for users to track their comprehensive purchase history and game content. We developed special build-stack software that generated custom PHP Wordpress/WooCommerce code that would support the new membership-style e-commerce purchase system as well as provide the unified interface in a brand-consistent themed appearance.
Result
The end result enabled the client to enjoy an increase in daily recurring revenue through sales of packaged upgrades and in-game cosmetics. Our timely delivery strategically enabled the client to unveil these features in the critical 2017 holiday period. Simultaneously, we provided a branding refresh to their website to mimic the visual style of the Ashes of Creation game aesthetic, accomplishing the consistent desired theme with augmented content.
